Margaret Daly was brought up in the hills of West Sparta, New York. She experienced tragedy early in life, when a fire destroyed her home. Experiencing loss at a young age, Daly really does know what hardship is. She knows what wrong decisions can do to you, and how they can deeply affect your adult life too.
Daly freely admits to making wrong decisions at an early age. She states that she had a great understanding of the unfairness of life, and how it can disappoint. However, at the age of 43, Daly's first book was published. With the release of Dusgadh: Essence Of Life, she took a step on the right road in life. This book is part of a promising trilogy, following young Ember and her adventures.
Daly has the loving support of four children and a husband, which she says makes for a conducive atmosphere to pen books such as this novel. In the book review for Dusgadh: Essence Of Life, I drew comparisons between Daly's book and J.K. Rowling's books. I believe Daly's book will appeal to the same demographic as the Harry Potter series. Rowling and Daly also both come from challenging backgrounds, and experienced how hard life can be. Rowling used this to create the Potter books, and subsequently enjoyed enormous success. Could the same happen with Daly? Well, I really think it could be a possibility, but that’s for the future to tell.
Right now, Daly where she wants to be with her book: on the pinnacle of success, and with a loving family behind her.
